The Dobyns-Bennett Football Foundation was originally established in 1982 as the Dobyns-Bennett Quarterback Club. The purpose of the Dobyns-Bennett Football Foundation is to support the Indian football team and promote positive community involvement. Today, through support of parents and community sponsors, the Dobyns-Bennett Football Foundation provides multiple meals per week to all players during the football season, a first-class end of year awards banquet, a limited number of college scholarships to senior players for qualified applicants, pre-season picnic, end of season trip for senior players. In addition we provide additional equipment throughout the year.
The Dobyns-Bennett Football Foundation encourages all supporters of Dobyns-Bennett football to join us and become volunteers. On Tuesdays following each varsity game, the Foundation Board of Directors, Volunteers, and Indian Football fans meet at 6 pm in the upstairs conference room of the Alumni Field House to discuss Foundation business and to enjoy hearing from a guest speaker. Make sure to stay long enough to hear Coach Joey Christian hand out player of the week awards, review the previous game, and preview the upcoming game.
